Answer Me This…

The thought of a boudoir session can be scary, and you probably have a massive amount of questions, like how many outfits can we do, how long will it all take, and the biggest one of all, how do I calm my nerves? I am here to answer most of those right now.

Check out this list of my 10 most frequently asked questions to give you some insight on preparing for a boudoir session with me!

Do you share my images?

My number 1 priority making sure my clients are comfortable, especially with boudoir! It can be a life changing experience, but that also makes it nerve wracking! Sometimes, you are learning how to love your body and you aren't quite ready to share the images with the world, or sometimes these photos are specifically for your partner aren't for anyone else's eyes.

These are all valid and recognized reasons for not sharing your photos. As your photographer, and newfound confidant, I will always ask you for permission to share any images first, and only share what you are comfortable with. There are some rare instances when a release is required for my sessions.

Do I have to wear lingerie?

Lingerie, schmangerie! You don’t have to specifically wear lingerie if you don’t want to. It all depends on what you want your boudoir session to look like. You can be cozy in an oversized sweater, or make it super sexy with just the silk sheets. There are endless possibilities.

You should love yourself every step of the way. Be proud of where you are so that you can be proud of where you're going. Have a boudoir session to celebrate where you are now, and then have one when you lose that 15 lbs to celebrate how far you've come!

Do you have payment plans?

Absolutely, yes! I encourage everyone to take advantage of them too. There are pre-payment plans, where you can get some bonuses, too. The creative session fee is required, and non-refundable, to book your session. Depending on the collection you choose, we break it down into 3 or 6 payments, which are due 2 weeks before the date of the session.

During your reveal session, you also have the chance to upgrade to a higher collection, too. At that time, the full balance will be due.

Is hair and makeup included?

All your images are professionally retouched. This means tweaking the color just a bit, brightening the room up, and also getting rid of any smudges or indents from bra straps or things like that. I do not over edit and take away anything that makes you, you.

Where should I buy my outfits?

Part of the Starstruck Boudoir Experience is that you get access to my client closet. The client closet features an array of styles, and sizes, for you to choose from. If you have a style in mind for your session, send me the info, and I will add it just for you.

Or, if you’ve already pepped sites like Victoria's Secret, Adore Me, Torrid, Aerie, hipsandcurves.com, Shein, Plushe, or saw a cute ensemble on Amazon, go and grab it! We can incorporate it in your session.

What type of print products do you have?

I offer a variety of album options, velvet folio boxes, and wall art, which are all featured in my Oscar, Tony and Emmy collections. My favorite, and previous clients, too, is the 10x10 albums, in a leatherette cover (the cranberry is gorgeous!). You get 20 of your favorite images from your session inside.

Do you offer digitals?

Absolutely! While my collections feature a product and digital combination, if you’re just looking for the digitals, The Goodie Bag is for you! The digital collection will come in a locked online gallery, for your eyes only.

I'm freaking out! How can I calm my nerves?

Nerves are all part of the experience! I always say that it would probably be weird if you WEREN'T nervous. The nervousness in the beginning of your shoot make your moment of "WOW" seeing your photos for the first so much better!

Should I get to my session early?

I always advise my clients to arrive at least 10 minutes early - so you know you’re in the right place and so we can chat even more! I don’t know about you, but I am a get there 30 minutes early kind of person.

That 10 minutes early also gives us time for me to show you all the pieces in the client closet and for you to show me what you brought along, if you did.

Where is your studio located?

While I am always dreaming of a luxe studio for Starstruck Boudoir, it doesn’t exist just yet. For now, I make the experience as glamorous as possible and that includes coming to your city, and giving you a session of your dreams at an amazing hotel or studio space.
